Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize printing by feeding ink forcibly before start of printing and allowing foam in the ink flow passage to jet out together with ink, by providing a ball valve type pump on the ink flow passage between an ink jet head and an ink tank. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a flow-in valve 28 of a ball 27 and a flow-out valve 30 of a ball 29 are connected with each other, and a pressure-regulating chamber 31 is provided between these valves. When pressure in the chamber 31 is reduced, the ball 27 floats to open the flow-in valve 28, and ink in a tank flows into a pump 26. And, when pressure in the chamber 31 is increased, the flow-in valve 28 is closed to open the flow-out valve 30, and ink in the pump 26 is forcibly poured into a head 23 through an ink supplying system 24. Thus composed pump P is provided on an ink flow passage 8 between an on-demand type ink jet head 7 and an ink tank 9.
