Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal leaking of ink by providing a safety valve which quickly shuts off the ink supply path when the ink is abnormally injected in a system wherein the pressurized ink is supplied to a printing head by a pump and an accumulator. CONSTITUTION:The ink in an ink tank 1 is injected rom a nozzle 8 of a printing head 7 through a pump 2, a filter 3, an accumulator 4, a filter 5, and a solenoid valve 6. In this ink inject printing device, the safety valve A which shuts off the ink supply at the time abnormal injection of the ink is provided in the ink supply system, e.g., after the accumulator 4. The safety valve A having the following constitution is desirable. A ball valve 21 is held with a suitable play being provided in a valve chamber 20 which is located between the ink flow paths 15 and 16 and whose diameter is larger than the ink flow paths 15 and 16 aligned on the same axis. A valve seat 22 having an orifice at the center is provided at the opening part of the valve chamber 20 connected to the flow path 15. An O-ring valve seat 23 is provided at the inlet port of the flow path 16 connected to the valve chamber 20.
