Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a titled circuit which compensates the fluctuation in welding current owing to the fluctuation in source voltage with fast response and high accuracy determining the adequate control angles of antiparallel thyristors by the use of the fluctuation value and set value of the source voltage to be supplied to a resistance welding machine as well as the voltage compensation function having beforehand been calculated.
CONSTITUTION: In order to measure welding source voltages (e1 and e2), they are converted to control voltages by a transformer 10, and the voltage values thereof are inputted to an effective value conversion circuit 11. This circuit 11 has a function of converting the every cycle of the welding power source voltage to an effective value, wherein the voltage e1 generates the voltage v1 and the voltage e2 generates the voltage v2. A reference setter 12 is provided and the voltage vr when the reference power source voltage er is kept generated. The output of this circuit 11 as a negative polarity and the output of the setter 12 as a positive polarity are added in an operator 13, and voltage VD, that is, the fluctuating component of the source voltage is determined. Next, a function waveform VF is generated by a voltage compensating function generator 16. This function wave and the output of the adder 15 are compared 17, and the points (a), (b) when the function wave VF goes lower in potential than the added output VA are detected, whereby the correctly compensated control angle is determined.
