Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure a low grade concentration of ozone in water, by passing sample water through an aeration vessel cotinuously and circulating an aeration gaseous body by a pump and then, measuring the concentration of ozone. CONSTITUTION:Sample water in entered from a feed pipe 6 to an aeration vessel 1 at a constant flow rate and the water overflowed from a partition board 3 is discharge from a drainpipe passing through a water seal device 4. The concentration of gas-phase ozone in an aeration gaseous body taken out from the upper part space of the vessel 1 through a pipe 7 is measured by an ozone concentration meter for the atmosphere 8. Said gaseous body is discharged from a gas diffuser 2 into the sample water by a pump 9 and comes out the water surface forming bubbles and then, is circulated. The vessel 1 is housed in a thermostat 11 and is kept at a constant temperature. The concentration of ozone in the water is found by a Henry's law by measuring the concentration of ozoe in said circulating aeration gaseous body always.
