Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase both the flexibility and the waveguide power, by using a number of thin optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:A light 13 emitted from a laser source 9 is branched into plural beams 14a, 14b... through a branching filter 10 and made incident to a condensing means 12. The means 12 converts each beam into beams 15a, 15b... and make them incident to the incident terminal of an optical fiber 11 in order to make these beams incident to the incident terminals 11a, 11b... of the optical fiber 11. The beam 17 emitted from an output terminal of the fiber 11 is condenced like the beam 18 through a condenser lens 16 and forms a small focus at the focal point 19. Thus the working or an operation is carried out by the energy of high density which is condensed at the focus.
