Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover inorganic components as an alkaline solution from a molten salt obtained by incineration of a Na+-contg. concentrated waste liquid, by adding water to a part of combustion gas to rapidly cool the molten salt, while recovering an aqueous alkaline solution from the remaining combustion gas.
CONSTITUTION: An Na+-contg. waste liquid is introduced through a line 29, a front-stage concentrator 25, a final concentrator 20 and a line 10 into an incinerator 1. The major part of combustion gas generated by incineration is discharged outside the incinerator 1 through a duct 12, while Na content in the waste liquid is converted into Na2CO3 in the incinerator 1, which then, while melting, drops into a recovery tank and is dissolved therein. The recovered salt solution is discharged through a line 9, and mixed with water replenished from a line 11. On the other hand, high-temperature combustion gas discharged outside the incinerator 1 through the duct 12 is fed through a front hood into a lime-calcining kiln 13. CaCO3 cake obtained in a causticization device 34 is fed through a line 16 into a portion near the tail of the incinerator 1, and carried countercurrently against the combustion gas toward the other end of the incinerator 1.
