Abstract
PURPOSE: To cool high-temperature residual ashes extremely at low cost, with ease and in safety during metal recovery by adding cold ashes, which have been cooled yet, to the high-temperature residual ashes after metal is recovered from dross produced when Al/Al alloy is molten.
CONSTITUTION: Dross produced in furnaces 1 and 1 is fed to a metal recoverying machine 2 after the dross is ground by blade bodies, it is separated into metal (Al/Al alloy) and ashes by a difference in specific gravity. Only the separated metal is discharged to a metal receptacle 3, and the high-temperature residual ashes in the recovering machine 2 are cooled in some way. Namely, cold ashes described hereafter are added to and mixed with said high-temperature residual ashes for cooling, and the ashes are cooled directly by a cooling machine 4 with water, etc., from about 450°C to ≤80°C, and then abandoned to an ash disposal place 6 through a hopper 5. During said period, the hopper is operated by a proper control signal to supply part of the cold ashes to be sent to the disposal plate 6 to the recovering machine 2 through a filter 7 as shown by 8, thereby using them to cool high-temperature residual ashes.
