Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove oil content from a waste washing solution with high efficiency and to reduce its COD content, by adding and dissolving an ammonium sulfate crystal or injecting an ammonium sulfate-saturated solution into a sulfuric acid washing solution for gases discharged in production of acrylonitrile.
CONSTITUTION: After acrylonitrile is recovered from reaction gas discharge from a reaction column producing acrylonitrile, exhaust gas is introduced through 1a into a equenching tower 1, where the gas is cooled and washed with an aqueous sulfuric acid solution carried through 1c, 1d, etc. Thus, waste water is generated. This waste water is transfered into a dispersing tower 2, where the waste water is heated by steam, and then continuously carried into a dissolving vessel 3, where ammonium sulfate is continuously fed from a crystal tank 13. Thereafter, the solution having a high concentration of ammonium sulfate is introduced into an oil-separating vesse l4 to separate oil content from the solution. The separated oil content is received in an oil reservoir 12, and then carried through p-3 into an incinerator 10.
