Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate and remove NH3 by compacting apparatus and by saving heat energy more greatly than the conventional method, by the method in which NH3 contained in gas liquor is converted into ammonium sulfate or ammonium phosphare by introducing the gas liquor into anacid solution, e.g.m sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. through a porous membrane.
CONSTITUTION: The coke oven gas 1 is reached with an acid, e.g., sulfuric acid, etc. in the saturator to form ammonium sulfate, and then the slurry containing ammonium sulfate formed is sent through the slurry tank 7 to the centrifugal separator 8 to separate the ammonium sulfate crystals and liquor. And, the separated liquor is sent to the mother liquor-circulating tank 9, and then is sent, after being added an additional conc. sulfric acid 11, to the saturator 5 and the porous membrane 12-built-in membrane apparatus 3 to which additional conc. sulfric acid is added by the pump 10. And, in the apparatus 3, a part of sulfuric acid is converted into ammonin sulfatre by NH3 absorbed from the gas liquor 2, and then sent to the saturator 5 by the pump 4. In this case, phosphoric acid may be used instead of sulfuric acid.
