Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat ammonia-containing waste gas by the procedure in which part of waste gas from the NH3-removing tower, etc. of night soil treatment liquor is dissolved in water, and the diluted NH3 is sprayed in an incinerating chamber, while the remaining NH3-containing gas is oxidized without catalyst, together with NOx generated in the incinerating chamber, into N2 and water.
CONSTITUTION: A part of the waste gas 3 from a NH3-removing tower of night soil treatment liquor is introduced into the absorption tank 9 through the ejector 10 and dissolved in water 4 to form a 0.1W2% dilute NH3 solution. On the other hand, the remaining waste gas 11 is supplied to the burner 2a and burned in the incinerating chamber 6, during which the dilute NH3 solution in the tank 9 is sprayed into the incinerating chamber 6 through the pipe 5 by the pump 5a and mixed with air and an auxiliary fuel for the combustion of waste gas to burn completely the NH3- containing waste gas. And, the unabsorbed waste gas containing CH4, etc., in the tank 9 is mixed the remaining waste gas 11 and then supplied to the incinerating chamber 6.
