Abstract

PURPOSE: To plan effective ozone decolorization by effecting decolorization by ozone after NO2 included in secondary processing water for excreta is converted into NO3 by processing with hypochlorine, hydrogen peroxide or chlorine gas.
CONSTITUTION: Secondary processing water for excrate is supplied to reserve tank 1 before disinfection, then condensing agent in tank 3 is poured by pump 2, and after that, the secondary processing water is sent into condensing and setting tank 4 where suspended substances are separated. Supernatant liquid is sent to oxidizing tank 5 and oxidizing agent in tank 6 is poured by pump 7, then processing water and oxidizing agent is mixed by agitator. Pump 7 is controlled so that the quantity of oxidizing agent poured from tank 6 will be more than equal with NO2 in processing water and oxidize NO2 into NO3. Next, processing water is sent to the top portion of ozone reaction tower 10 and the colored component in processing water is decomposed and decolorized. Exhaust gas is discharged into air through ozone decomposition tower 17.
