Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove and decolor organic matter easily and at high efficiency, by coagulating and separating, and oxidizing and decomposing the organic matter and chromatic components in the organic waste water by using agglutinant and oxidizer, and separating out the iron slat used by neutralization.
CONSTITUTION: In the treatment of organic waste water containing organic matter and chromatic components, such as biological hardly decomposable substance, in the waste water discharged from waste disposal plant, first an agglutinant 16 of which main ingredient is ferric salt is added in a mixing tank 1, and pH is adjusted to 3W5.5. Then, in a separation tank 3, the organic matter and chromatic components in the waste water are separated and removed together with flocs of iron hydroxide. Then, the waste water is sent into a mixing tank 4, where iron salt 19 of oxidation catalyst and hydrogen peroxide 20 of oxidizer are added, and agitated in a reaction tank 5. Then, the organic matter and chromatic components in the waste water are oxidized and decomposed. Afterwards, the treated water is neutralized pH 4 or more in a neutralization tank 6, so that the iron salt may be separated out as flocs of iron hydroxide. Thus, the waste water may be treated easily and at high degree, and the COD may be lowered.
