Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled body which enables high-speed recording and is excellent in sticking property, by a method wherein a reaction product of a fatty acid (derivative) with a phenolic compound is incorporated into a color forming layer togethe with a heat-sensitive composition such as a leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording body provided with a colorless or light-colored leuco dye and a color forming layer containing an electron acceptor causing the dye to form a color by heating, a reaction product of a fatty acid and/or its derivative (e.g., palmitic acid, lauric acid, caprylyl chloride, or sodium palmitate) and a phenolic compound (e.g., p-phenylphenol or 4, 4'- isopropylidenediphenol) is incorporated into the color forming layer together with a heat-sensitive composition. Accordingly, a heat-sensitive recording body enabling high-speed recording and excellent in sticking property can be obtained.
