Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the water resistance, suppress the blushing of the coated film substantially and to reduce the adhesion to the thermal head, by utilizing a butadieneacryl-styrene copolymer as part or whole of a bonding agent for a heat- sensitive sheet. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording sheet, which contains a phenolic acidic substance, a colorless or light-colored leuco compound that develops a color when thermally reacted to the phenolic acidic substance, and a bonding agent, a butadiene-acryl-styrene copolymer is used as part or whole of the bonding agent. This copolymer contains 5-95% of styrene, and preferably 30-65%. By using the copolymer having such styrene content, adhesion and sticking to the head can be prevented. The ratio of butadiene to acryl can be varied widely, but preferably the butadiene/acryl ratio is 1/3-3/1.
