Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain heatsensitive recording material which displays distinct pictures quickly even at comparatively low temperatures by a method wherein a special compound such as bishydroquinone alkylene ether and the like is contained in a heat sensitive coloring layer having leuco dye and organic acid, etc. as a coloring component. CONSTITUTION:To a heatsensitive color former containing both colorless or faint leuco dye (e.g.: crystal violet lactone etc.) and organic acid coloring said leuco dye by heating such as oxalic acid or phenolic material such as bisphenol A etc. is added to a compound (e.g.: bisresolsinol ethylene ether etc.) shown by the formula (n= 1 to 4), preferably 0.1-2pt. to 1pt.wt. of acid material. Said color former with a binding agent and the like is coated on a supporter to form a heat-sensitive coloring layer. EFFECT:Attaching of scum to a heatsensitive head and sticking phenomenon can be prevented.
