Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve responsive property of electrode feed control by adding a specified proportion of differential output of difference voltage between average voltage across discharge gap for controlling location of the electrode and reference voltage to control signal based upon said difference voltage. CONSTITUTION:Difference voltage Vg between average value of pulse voltage applied to an electrode 12 and workpiece 10 and the reference value is converted into series pulse signal through an AD converter 22, control circuit 24 and binary rate multiplier 32. The difference between this signal and pulse from a detector 42 for detecting location of the electrode 12 is counted by a counter 34 and added to an amplifier 38 through a DA converter 36 as control signal. Here differential voltage of the difference voltage Vg is added to this control signal in proportion to k of a multiplier 50. Value of k is controlled to the optimum one such that the difference voltage Vg and the output of a tachogenerator 40 are compared with each other to make their wave-forms similar.
