Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption, by using a switch that works in a certain period of time after a power supply switch is applied in order to cut off the current flowing to a thermistor, a demagnetizing coil and a rush current reducing resistance. CONSTITUTION:For a power supply circuit of a TV receiver, a switch 20 is connected in series to a series circuit of a thermistor 7 and a demagnetizing coil 8. At the same time, a switch 21 is connected in parallel to a rush current reducing resistance 17. The switches 20 and 21 are turned off and on respectively in a certain period of time after a power supply switch 2 is applied. Thus the electric power consumed at the thermistor 7, the coil 8 and a resistance 9 can be reduced down to zero. The switches 20 and 21 are turned on and off by a choke transformer that is used to a switching regulator. A movable iron bar containing a contact driving part is provided in the gap of the core.
