Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease power loss while diminishing the number of parts forming a circuit by a method wherein an MOSFET is used as a rectifier and a variable impedance element. CONSTITUTION:When a transistor 2, a main switch element, is conducted, currents flow through a capacitor 13 or load 14 through a retardation coil 12 from the second winding n12 of a transformer 21, and currents return to a drain D from a source S of an MOSFET 22. When the transistor 2, the main switch element, is interrupted, the currents flowing through the retardation coil 12 continuously flow through a rectifier 11. In this case, the MOSFET 22 functions as a variable impedance element deciding an interrupting period of the transistor 2.
