PURPOSE:To decrease a cable laying work remarkably and to execute communication with high reliability, by connecting a computer center and a number of input/ output device by use of an optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber cable 15 is provided between a computer input/ output device C and a terminal input/output equipment T. The optical fiber cable 15, the computer input/output device C and the terminal input/output equipment T are coupled by an electric two-way coupler 13, an optical two-way coupler 14, an optical transmitter 11 and an optical receiver 12. In this way, even if a computer and a terminal equipment are placed at an enough distance place each other, a data is transmitted with sufficient reliability, and also expenses for a cable laying work are reduced.
