Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform a simple and reliable falling of a flexible film dam, by a method wherein a control member for opening and shutting a discharge valve, discharge fluid in the film dam, is mounted to a water level detecting device which is constituted such that it is caused to fall due to an extroadinary high water level at the upstream of the flexible film dam. CONSTITUTION:When a water level at an upstream side of a rubber dam 1 reaches an extroadinary water level 1 due to a localized torrential downpour, a water level 17a in a water level tank 5 also rises to exert buoyancy on a float 7. A weight 8 eccentrically positioned is attached to the top surface of the float 7, and thereby, the float 7 falls at a stretch. Then, the center of gravity of the float 7 is positioned at a lower part to pull downward a wire 15 through the gravity of the float, a lever 14 rocks downward to release an exhaust valve 13, and pressure air in the rubber dam 1 is exhausted into the air, which results in causing the rubber dam to fall.
