Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a constant inner pressure in the rubber dam and facilitate both a falling and a raise of the rubber dam when water volume is increased by a method wherein a bell crank lever for controlling a discharge of the fluid from a fluid discharge pipe is engaged with an engagement lever connected to the float.
CONSTITUTION: When the water volume is increased, the water is flowed into the float chamber 21. When a water level in a riber is reached up to a desired level, the float 17 is raised up, a movement of the float 17 made by its own weight acting upon the engagement lever 13 is gradually decreased, and the lever 13 is rotated around a fulcrum point 14 in a direction indicated by the arrow B. Thereby, the bell crank lever 12 is released from its restricted condition, rotated in a direction indicated by arrow A under an action of the weight 12a. As a result, a discharge of the air from the bulge-out rubber dam 2 shown by a phantam-line under a feeding of air from the air feeding means 8 is started. This discharging action is continued until the rubber dam 2 is completely fallen by water pressure in the river. Leakage of inner pressure in the rubber dam 2 is effectively prevented by the mechanism discribed above.
