Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate an effect of flaws or the like at the twilled part of photodivider, by setting the photodivider at the front side of the conjugate point of the light reflected from a disk surface. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a light source 2 is irradiated on a disk surface 1 through a condenser lens 3, and this reflected light is led to a photodivider 5 with a half-mirror 4. Then divided luminous fluxes 9g and 9h have the focal points at the boundaries 7a and 7b among divided detectors 6o, 6i, 7o and 7i which are distributed at the positions corresponding to the conjugate points on the surface 1 during a just-in-focus. When the surface 1 moves up and down to get the focus position out of the positions of divided detectors, the fluxes 9g and 9h irradiate the inside or the outside of the divided detector. As a result, the positive and negative signals are delivered to the terminal 11 to ensure a detection for an out-of-focus. The inclination of a photodisk, if arises, is cancelled to give no effect since the irradiating positions of divided luminous fluxes shift in the same direction.
