Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent to effect any useless compression by a method wherein a solenoid coil is conducted, the up-and-down motion of a vane is precluded by inserting a pin at the tip end of a movable core into the groove of the vane and the inflow of the injection refrigerant carrier into a cylinder is prevented, when the compression is not being effected. CONSTITUTION:During the period of compression in case a capacity control is effected, the solenoid 9 is not conducted, therefore, the vane 2 is moved up-and- down under while being abutted against a roller 3 and an injection may be effected. On the contrary, the coil 11 of the solenoid 9 is conducted during the period of non-compression, therefore, the movable iron core 13 is moved to the left side, the pin 15 on the tip end thereof is entered into the groove 26 of the vane 2, the vane 2 is held by the movable iron core 13 and the up-and-down motion of the vane 2 may be precluded. According to this operation, the communication between injection passageways 44, 45 is shut off by the side face of the vane 2, therefore, the injection refrigerant carrier will never be flowed into the cylinder 1, the useless compression work will never be effected and an ideal operation may be effected without losing the refrigerating capacity thereof by increasing further the evaporating pressure thereof.
