Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce most part of impact between a discharge valve and a valve seat, by controlling the return speed of the discharge valve at the time of closing by means of refrigerant in the groove through a guide element.
CONSTITUTION: When a compression discharge valve 28 is pressed open to start a discharge stroke, high pressure refrigerant in a cylinder inner chamber 36 pushes a guide element 32 upward at the same time as the discharge valve 28 is open, since a pick up port 41 of a pressure conduit 33 is completely communicated with the high pressure side of the inner chamber 36. Therefore the guide element 32 moves upward while nearly keeping contact with the discharge valve 28. As the discharge stroke progresses and the tip of a piston 37 comes close to the pick up port 41 of pressure conduit 33, the inner chamber 36 and the conduit 33 are closed, which restrains the vibration of discharge valve 28 caused by the high pressure refrigerant coming into the groove 31 at the time of opening and reduces the vibration transmitted to the supportingpoint of a bolt 30.
