Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve capacity control properties as well as to attempt the reduction in cost by communicating the rear chamber of a cylinder chamber directly with the inside of an oil separator, communicating the front chamber of the cylinder chamber with a discharge chamber, and connecting the opening in the inner surface of the cylinder chamber with the low pressure chamber of a compressor. CONSTITUTION:The rear chamber 17 of a cylinder chamber 15 partitioned by the piston 13 of a slide valve 11 is directly communicated with the inside of an oil separator 4 through a restrictor 32. And the front chamber 16 of the cylinder chamber 15 is communicated with a discharge chamber 34 through a passage. A plurarity of openings 36 through 38 are bored at appropriate places within the whole sliding section of the piston 13 in the inner surface of the cylinder chamber 15. The openings 36 through 38 are connected with the low pressure chamber 42 of a compressor via solenoid valves 39 through 41. This constitution improves capacity control properties, thereby attempting the reduction in whole cost.
