Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a large exhaust conductance by arranging the spacers made of solder material between a cylindrical outer enclosure and a sealing plate which are to be joined beforehand and performing exhaust and sealing. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of spacers 8 are arranged between one end surface of a cylindrical outer enclosure 6 and a disc-shaped sealing plate 7 beforehand. The spacer 8 is constituted of rod-shaped solder and one end is inserted into the supporting hole 9 formed on the sealing plate 7 and the other end is into the supporting hole 10 formed at one end of the outer enclosure 6. Further, a plate-shaped annular sealing solder material 11 is arranged on one edge surface of the outer enclosure 6. In this state, the constituent is set in a vacuum tank, and exhaust and sealing are performed, and the outer enclosure 6 and the sealing plate 7 are fused and joined. Therefore, at the temperature below the solder melting point of the spacer 8 and the fusion solder material 11, a gap l exists between the outer enclosure and the sealing plate, so the exhaust conductance can be set large.
