Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to curtail time required for evacuating an electron tube by forming the tube into a structure without any evacuation pipe. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-grid electrode unit structure, in which a cathode 12 and a grid electrode 13 are fixedly secured in the form of a rod, is first aritightly sealed to one end of a cathode 14. In the next place, an anode cylinder 14 and the cathode- gride electrode unit structure are disposed in a vacuum bell jar and an anode edge plate 22 is positioned in alignment with an opening end part 14a of the anode cylinder 14 through a soldering material 23. In this state, the temperature of each electrode is raised to the melting temperature of the soldering material 23 and gas of the electrode is released. Then, the anode cylinder 14 and the anode edge plate 22 are heated to the melting temperature of the soldering material 23 and the gas of the electrode is released.
