Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the falling forces of both dead weights by a method in which a dead weight for striking the head of a steel pipe pile and a dead weight for forwardly excavating the rock inside the steel pipe pile are brought down to the ground, and while crushing the rock by the tip of the steel pipe pile, the area inside the steel pipe pile is excavated forwardly. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe pile 12 tipped with a steel plate reinforcing ring 13 is vertically set and held on a rock bed 10, a middle-excavating dead weight 21 having a through hole 24 and vertically moving in contact with a discharge pipe 23 is vertically moved inside the steel pipe pile 12 by a rope 25 to perform excavation by its falling force. In this case, a dead weight 16 for striking the head of the pile is also set at the head of the steel pipe pile 12 and held and dropped with the middle excavating dead weight 21 by means of the rope, and thereby the head of the steel pipe pile 12 is struck by the dead weight 16, the rock bed 10 is excavated by the crushing portion 14 at the tip of the pile, and the area at the tip of the steel pipe pile 12 is forwardly excavated by the excavating portion 22 of the dead weight 16. Thus, the falling energy of both the dead weights 16 and 21 can be utilized as excavating forces.
