Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep the amount of water to be flowed from a trunk waterway to branched waterways almost constant by using a system in which a water conduit is extended into a static water tank, a valve body is inserted into the longitudinal through hole of the wall of the extended conduit in a vertically movable manner, and the valve body is connected to a float inside the static water tank. CONSTITUTION:Water sent through a water conduit 4 from a trunk waterway 1 flows from the V-shaped opening of a valve body 7 into the valve body 7, enters a static water tank 3, overflows cross an overflow dam 5, and goes into a branched waterway 2. When the level of water in the waterway 1 rises, the level of water in the static water tank 3 is also raised, a float 10 goes up, the valve body 7 is raised through a lever 13 to narrow the opening 9, and thereby the amount of incoming water is controlled. Since the valve body 7 contacts with water on the trunk waterway side only by its outside vertical and cylindrical face, the valve body 7 undergoes no buoyance from the water of the trunk waterway. On the other hand, since buoyance to the valve body 7 from the water of the static water tank 3 is constant, loading on the float 10 becomes constant and thereby the amount of water to be released from the trunk waterway to the branched waterway can be kept constant.
