Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a recording of a high quality with a uniform density by controlling energy of recording pulses according to the previous results of a heat generating body of a thermal head and the temperature of the thermal head and an ink roller. CONSTITUTION:Once an ink layer 7 on an ink roller 1 is solidified as flatted with a correction roller 2, it is selectively melted with a thermal head 8 according to image signals and transferred on to a recording paper 9 to form an image (numeral 16 indicates a recording pulse control section). In said apparatus, recording information of a heat generating body of a thermal head in the past (e.g. upto two previous cycles) is memorized. Based on the data thereof and the temperature signal of the head and the ink roller, the pulse width T of a dot about to be striken is set at a value to record as given by the Formula[T0 represents the recording pulse width before the correction, K the value of correction based on the temperature signal, K1 and K2 the correction ratio of previous one and two cycles separately with respect to the same dot (h1 and h2 go to '1' when the dot is recorded and '0' when it is not recorded)].
