Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an adhering of a film on a heating head, provide a smooth transmittance of the film and eliminate a sticking phenomenon by a method wherein an intermittent transmittance of a thermo-sensitive copy material during melting of the thermo-plastic resin film is performed.
CONSTITUTION: Thermo-copying material 3 having a thermo-melting ink layer 2 and a recording paper 4 are overlayed on a thermo-plastic resin film 1 via ink layer 2 and then transmitted intermittently between the platen roller 5 and the heating head. When the transmitting operation is stopped, the film is pressed by the roller 5 and a thermal pulse is applied to a heating head 6 at a back or rear surface of the film 1. The ink layer 2 is selectively melted by the thermal pulse and thermally copied to the recording paper 4. Then, the thermo-sensitive copy material 3 is transmitted when the film 1 shows a temperature higher than a melting point to prevent the film from being adhered to the head 6.
