Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-resolution transferred image by a constitution wherein powder ink adsorbed into the surface of a transfer master roller is selectively heated to melt, transferred onto an intermediate transfer film, and re-transferred to ordinary paper. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive recording device comprises a transfer master roller 11, magnetic brush 12, and transfer roll 15. The tip end of the brush 12 is rotated in contact with the surface of the roller 11, and thermomelting powder ink 13 admixed with iron powder is electrostatically adhered to the surface of the roller 11 in a uniform thickness. Then the ink 13 is melted by selective heating by a thermal head 17 through an intermediate transfer film 16 which is in contact with the roller 11 and moved by a drive roll 18; the molten ink is temporarily transferred to the film 16, before re-transferred to ordinary paper 19 by a roll 15.
