Abstract

PURPOSE: To reuse industrial waste water and to recover useful materials by pretreating the waste water with an ultrafilter then pumping the same to a post treating means consisting of ion exchange resins.
CONSTITUTION: Industrial waste water contg. colloidal materials, for example, photographic washing water 1 is fed from the 1st tank 2 via a pump 3 and a filter 4 to an ultrafilter 5. The ultrafilter 5 is used as a petreating means, where colloidal materials such as gelatin are removed, and the treated water is fed to the 2nd tank 6. Concd. liquid 7 is fed to an evaporation mechanism 8, and part or the whole thereof can be returned into the photographic washing water of the 1st tank 2 by operating a valve 9. The treated water in the 2nd tank is fed through a pump 10 and a filter 11 to an ion exchange resin tank 31, where useful materials such as Ag are recovered. The permeated water through an ion exchange resin tank 31 is fed to the 3rd tank 14, and is used as regenerated water.
