Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently remove heavy metallic elements contained in waste water, by dividing the waste water discharged from a municipal incineration plant into the waste water for exhaust smoke washing water and other waste water and adding flocculants so each waste water after the pH value in each water is controlled respectively so as to be kept in a predetermined specific range.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water discharged from a municipal incineration plant is divided into at least two lines such as the waste water to be used for exhaust smoke washing water and other waste water. The waste water for exhaust smoke washing is regulated so as to be kept within 2W10pH values and then mixed with a flocculant effective to heavy metallic elements. Then, a flocculation-precipitation process is conducted on the waste water by being successibly mixed with such flocculants made of inorganic chemicals as well as polymerized compounds. After then, the waste water is successively conducted the filtration process and adsorption process with the aid of chelating resin for adsorbing mercury elements contained in the filtered mother liquor. The other waste water is separately regulated on its pH value so as to be kept in a range of 7W12 and then conducted flocculation-precipitation process after being successively mixed with such flocculants made of inorganic chemicals as well as polymerized compounds. There are such chemicals as poly-aluminum chloride, etc. to be used as an inorganic flocculant and "Sumifloc FA-50" etc. as a polymerized compound flocculant.
