Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to simultaneously and effectively dispose the excess sludge and the emulsified oil bearing waste water by a method wherein the excess sludge produced in the activated sludge and waste water treatment equipment is mixed with the emulsified oil bearing waste water and incinerated.
CONSTITUTION: The excess sludge from the activated sludge and waste water treatment equipment is concentrated into the order of 2W6%, added to and mixed with the waste water as oil adsorvent in a mixing tank 3 during the treatment process of the emulsified oil bearing waste water. By mixing the sludge and the water with each other, the oil in the waste water is adsorbed by the sludge, which turns to have high coagulability, making solid-liquid separation possible by precipitation of the like. The sludge separated from the water can easily be incinerated, because the oil adsorbed to the sludge serves as combustion assistant fuel. Because the oil is removed by being adsorbed to the sludge in such a manner as mentioned above, a part of the whole of high-molecular coagulant can be cut down.
