Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover valuable materials in waste water while preventing the degradation in water permeability of reverse osmosis membranes and to prevent environmental pollution by treating the rinsing water of plating with the reverse osmosis membranes after treatment with active carbon.
CONSTITUTION: After an object (a) to be plated carried through pretreatment stages is plated in a plating bath A, it is fed into a recovering tank B and is immersed therein, whereby the plating soln. stuck thereon is removed, further this object is rinsed tanks C, D, after which it is fed to post stages. The recovered liquid in the tank B which is the liquid diluted from the plating soln. by the inflow liquid from the tank C is flowed through a winding type exchangeable cartridge filter E consisting of PP fibers, whereby it is removed of iron contents and coarse particles. The water past the filter E is flowed through an active carbon filter F, after which it is fed to a reverse osmosis device G, where it is treated under 20W70kg/cm2 pressures. The concd. liquid obtd. by this treatment is returned to the bath A and is reused. The filtrate is fed to the tank B, and is reused as the rinsing water for the objects to be plated. The valuable materials in said rinsing water are recovered efficiently when the water is treated in the device G.
