Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled alloy with superior resistance to the occurrence of cracks due to repeated thermal stress as well as superior strength at high temp. by adding prescribed amounts of C, Cr, Mo and Co. CONSTITUTION:This alloy for a hot metallic billet conveying roll consists of, by weight, <=0.1% C, 10-14% Cr, 0.1-1% Mo, 0.5-2% Co and the balance Fe. The alloy having said composition has superior strength, toughness and corrosion resistance at high temp. and superior resistance to the occurrence of cracks due to repeated thermal stress.
