Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy for build-up welding with superior resistance to the occurrence of cracks due to repeated thermal stress as well as superior strength at high temp. etc. by adding prescribed amounts of C, Cr, Mo and Co. CONSTITUTION:This alloy for build-up welding consists of, by weight, <=0.1% C, 10-14% Cr, 0.1-1% Mo, 0.5-2% Co and the balance Fe. The alloy for build-up welding having said composition has superior strength, toughness and corrosion resistance at high temp. and superior resistance to the occurrence of cracks due to repeated thermal stress, and it is suitable for a roll for continuous casting, etc.
