Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the toughness, corrosion resistance and workability by adding a prescribed amount of a granular dispersion phase contg.prescribed amounts of Zr, Hf, V, etc., carbides thereof, Fe, Ni, Co, TiC and TiN and a prescribed amount of a network binding Cu phase.
CONSTITUTION: The titled alloy consists of 30W60vol% granular dispersion phase having 0.1W5mm average grain size and the balance network binding phase of Cu or a Cu alloy. The dispersion phase has a composition consisting of 3W 4.5wt% of ≥1 kind of metal or metallic compound selected from Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, carbides and nitrides thereof, 7W25wt% of ≥1 kind of metal selected from Fe, Ni and Co, and the balance TiC or further contg. 1W30wt% TiN.
