Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain enough uniform film thickness for necessary magnetic flux density over a wide area, by sticking an amorphous ferromagnetic material, having high magnetic flux density, to the gap confronting surface of a magnetic head core by plating. CONSTITUTION:A coupld of surfaces as the confronting surfaces of a gap 2 and a couple of back gap surfaces 3 of a head core consisting of a couple of crystalline ferromagnetic oxide materials 1 are plated with amorphous ferromagnetic alloy 4, thus constituting a magnetic head. In this case, a plating solution consists of 40-70g/l iron sulfamate, 30-50g/l ammonium sulfamate, 5-10g/l urea, and added boric acid enough to obtain about 2-3pH, and fed current density is 50-200mA/cm<2>, thereby obtaining an amorphous ferromagnetic film which has necessary characteristics. On the plating film, a nonmagnetic material 5 is formed by using, e.g. low-melting-point glass to obtain a gap and a back gap 3 for reading and writing.
