Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head of good sensitivity easily a high yield by forming a coating layer of a magnetic material of high saturation magnetic density at a tape slide surface side after fixing a backup member to the gap adjacent surface of a ferrite-made core half. CONSTITUTION:To gap adjacent surface 10B of ferrite-made core half 10, backup member 14 made of quartz, nonmagnetic ferrite, etc., is fixed.
