Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a high erasion efficiency even to the high anti-magnetic tape by securing a higher magnetic saturation material for the front magnetic core than the rear magnetic core by decreasing the width of the front core at the front part and increasing the width at the junction part to the rear core respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Rear magnetic core 11 is composed with the ferrite and with erasion coil 3 wound. Front magnetic core 12 is made with the magnetic saturation material (Sendust, etc.) higher than core 11 and then given high magnetic flux density material bar 4 in order to double magnetic gap 5. Thickness D of core 11 is made larger enough then thickness d of core 12, and width B of core 11 is set larger than width A of core 12 respectively. And the junction surface is set for adhesion to be vertical and linear to the magnetic flux at junction part F between cores 11 and 12. As a result, the magnetic saturation of the magnetic core can be minimized along with a high erasion capacity and reduced temperature increment. Thus this erasion head can be suited especially for the cassette deck or the like.
