Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a smoothing circuit, by generating digital value trains with scattering within a converting period, comparing the digital value trains and input digital data at two comparators and taking logic for the two compared outputs. CONSTITUTION:A lower-order 6-bit of a counter 1 counting clocks CK is applied to a coincidence circuit 3 and compares with an upper-order 6-bit of an input digital data DD. The order of the upper-order 4-bit of the counter 1 is inversed and the bit is applied to the comparison circuit 2 and compares with the lower- order 4-bit of the input digital data DD. A delay control circuit 4 paasses through the output of the coincidence circuit 3 as it is, when the output of the comparison circuit 2 is at ''1'' and delays the output of the coincidence circuit 3 by one clock period when ''0''. Since the output of a flip-flop 5 becomes 16 sets of PWM wave in one converting period, the configuration of the smoothing circuit is made simple.
