CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas from a boiler 1 is introduced into a wet desulfurization unit 6, passing through a gas-gas heat exchanger 4 and a fan 5, after heat-recovered by an air preheater 2, and dust-collected by an electric dust collector 3. In this unit 6, desulfurization and dust collection are performed at the same time by a scrubber method, and then, the gas is discharged from a flue 7 into the open air by the intermediary of a dry dust collector 8, after it is heated by a heat exchanger 4. As mentioned above, by providing a dust collector 8, the dust still remaining and not yet desulfurized in a heat exchanger 4 can be collected.
