Abstract

PURPOSE: The method which permits prevention of exhausting of black smoke and enable good dust collecting effect to be obtained by so selectively changing over dry system and wet system according to conditions that the former is selected at the rise of the furnace and the latter during steady operation.
CONSTITUTION: A dry type electric dust collector 2 and a wet type electric dust collector 5 are connected parallel on the way of the flue 6 of exhaust gas from a combustion furnace 1 up to a chimney 4 and a gas damper 7 is provided to the flue 6. With the apparatus constituted in this way, the operations are selectively changed over so that the exhaust gas is passed to the wet type electric dust collector 5 at the rising of the furnace and is passed to the dry type electric dust collector 2 during steady operation, whereby dust collection is accomplished.
