Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover the sensible heat of exhaust gas and recycle it effectively by introducing higher temp. side exhaust gas alone in the main duct of a Dwight- Lloyd type sintering machine into a sensible heat recovering apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: Main duct 1 of the above-mentioned sintering machine is provided with partition plate 2 for dividing duct 1 into ore discharge section side, i.e. higher temp. side and main exhaust fan side, i.e. lower temp. side. Higher temp. side main duct 1A and lower temp. side main duct 1B are connected with by-pass 5, and the sensible heat of higher temp. side exhaust gas 4 flowing through by-pass 5 is recovered with heat recovering apparatus 8 such as boiler installed in by-pass 5. At this time, suction blower 9 is set on the downstream side of apparatus 8 to suck exhaust gas, thereby preventing a pressure rise of exhaust gas passing through by-pass 5. Lower temp. side exhaust gas 3 is exhausted from chimney 12 through dust collector 11 together with exhaust gas 4 after recovering the sensible heat with apparatus 8. In the figure, 13 is a firing furnace, 16 is each wind box and 6 is a pressure control valve.
