Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of fuel used in hot blast stove by utilizing high- temperature clean air discharged from dust collectors in casting bed and building for the blast furnace equipment as combustion air for the hot blast stove.
CONSTITUTION: Dust-rich and high-temperature air discharged from the molten pig iron and slug treatment systems of a blast furnace factory 1 is passed through a bag filter 2 to remove dust present, and then sucked up by a blower 3. And, part of the high-temperature air is sent into a blower 4 for combustion air for hot blast stove. The high-temperature clean air whose pressure is raised by the blower 4 is mixed with fuel and burned to heat the hot blast stove 5. Thus, the heat energy possessed by the high-temperature waste gas from blast furnace equipment is recovered by the hot blast stove and the amount of fuel used in the air-heating surface can be therefore be saved.
