PURPOSE: To utilize the waste heat of a glass melting furnace effectively and treat exhaust gas from the melting furnace at low cost by a method wherein exhaust gas after removing dust is introduced into an air heater, while air for combustion is preheated at high thermal efficiency, and the waste heat is recovered.
