Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance te efficiency of cooling sintered ore and the efficiency of recovering the sensible heat of exhaust gas from a sintered ore cooling apparatus by installing a blower for supplying exhaust gas shortage, etc. and control besides a blower only for circulation consisting of recovering the sensible heat of the exhaust gas and feeding the gas to the cooling apparatus again.
CONSTITUTION: In ordinary operation of sintered ore cooling apparatus 1, using blower 13 only for circulation hot exhaust gas from apparatus 1 is sucked, passed through dust removing process 2, heat exchanged in waste heat boiler 3 to generate steam, and circulated to apparatus 1. To supply exhaust gas shortage due to leakage, etc. during circulation and control the vol. of cooling gas fed to apparatus 1 in case of a change in temp., vol., etc. of sintered ore, a required vol. of air is fed to apparatus 1 from suction pipe 15 with blower 14 only for forcedly feeding cooling air. The control of the vol. of cooling gas fed is performed by detecting the pressure of exhaust gas at the outlet side of apparatus 1 or the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet sides with detector 7.
