Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively recover and utilize the sensible heat of sintered ore by introducing a circulating cooling medium raised in temp. by cooling the ore into a heat exchanger to heat blast furnace exhaust gas and using the heated gas for a top pressure turbine, a hot stove and a boiler.
CONSTITUTION: Sintered ore of 300W500°C supplied from a sintering apparatus is dropped onto moving bed 11 of the cooling apparatus and cooled with a cooling medium (cooling air) blown up from lower nozzles 13a, 13'a. The medium raised in temp. by cooling the ore is gathered with air gathering covers 13b, 13'b.
